The Immortal Dance Force Competitive Dance Team

Immortal Dance Force provides a focused growth opportunity for dedicated dancers who enjoy competing and thrive in a team environment. This program enhances each dancer’s training and performance experience through participation in two competitions each season, encouraging dancers to challenge themselves and grow along the way.

With teamwork at the center for both its dancers and instructors, this program emphasizes disciplined collaboration, healthy competition, perseverance, and strong technical development. Since its debut in Fall 2012, Immortal Dance Force has grown into a respected competitive team known for its dedication, teamwork, and success on the competition stage.

How Team Competitions Benefit Dancers:

  1. Dancers will form stronger connections with teammates through shared rehearsals and performances, creating lifelong friendships.
  2. Dancers will learn new choreography from different instructors in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Dancers will improve their ability to pick up choreography efficiently, building confidence for future auditions.
  4. Dancers will gain broader exposure to a variety of dance styles and teaching approaches.
  5. Dancers will develop greater motivation, discipline, and confidence through performing in a competitive environment.

November Competitions 
Rehearsals & Groupings:
All Immortal dancers rehearse and compete with their subject group.  Specific schedules will be released on March 20th in the Fall Team Immortal Contract. Competition Schedules are released at the discretion of the Competitions themselves, and weekends will be chosen once the Competitions have released their schedules. We ask all Immortal Dance Force members to keep November weekends open until the schedules have been finalized.

ContractDancers will be assigned a group by discipline & level based on their audition score.

Elite Invitational Team
The Elite Invitational Team comprises the top-scoring Jazz and Contemporary Teen & Senior dancers from our January Company Auditions. These dancers compete in two additional competitions during the Winter/Spring season for a total of four competitions yearly. Dancers on this team are invited to compete in Jazz and/or Contemporary group(s) and rehearse multiple times during the week and weekend from September through February. These dancers are typically enrolled in Jazz, Contemporary, multiple ballet classes, and other styles such as Jazz, Tap, and Hip-Hop. All dancers on this team are encouraged to compete in solos, duos, and trios in Jazz and Contemporary and may also compete in additional solos, duos, and trios in other various styles based on their audition scores. Dancers on this team are talented, committed dancers who take their dance technique, training, and performance quality very seriously, and many of them go on to dance in college and professionally. At Competition, the Elite Invitational Team competes in the most advanced difficulty category and consistently wins first place overall awards for their style and age categories, receives choreography awards, technique awards, top adjudications, judges awards, regional titles, and bids to nationals. Recently, the Elite Invitational Team received a nomination for the Industry Dance Awards in Hollywood, California this summer for their “Jazz piece, “I Gotcha”.

Immortal Dance Force Contract 2025

Summer Boot Camp Dates (2026): Bridgewater Studio
Monday, August 17th – Friday, August 21st and Saturday, August 22nd – Friday August 28th for solos, duos and trios as needed.

Groups will rehearse daily during our Summer Bootcamp: Monday August 17th- Friday, August 21st.

Fall Rehearsals (2026): Bridgewater Studio
Fall rehearsal times are listed on the contract above. (Sundays September through the end of November)
Competition Dates: TBD based on competitions- Usually Saturday/Sunday the 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd weekends of November.

Solo Duo Trio Rehearsals
ALL SOLOS, DUETS, AND TRIOS will be invitation only.

During Bootcamp: Each solo, duet, and trio will receive:
1. 2.5 hours total
2. Typically 7-thirty-minute sessions with your choreographer to set the piece. Sometimes scheduling will differ based on availability.

During the Fall: solos, duets and trios will receive:
1. 7-forty-five-minute coaching sessions along with 120 minutes of independent rehearsal at your convenience.

During the Winter: solos, duets and trios in the Invitation groups only will receive:
1. 2- thirty-minute rehearsals to review.
2. 2-hour rehearsals in a group setting.

Requirements for Immortal 2026

To participate in Immortal Dance Force dancers must:

1. Be in Opal or above (2026-2027 season)

To compete in a Jazz group: Dancers must take one jazz class and one additional class of choice.

To compete in a Tap group (elite invite only): Dancers must take one tap class and one additional class of choice.

To compete in a Contemporary group: Dancers must take one ballet, one jazz, and one contemporary class.

2. Have auditioned at our Company auditions (Winter 2026)

3. To be eligible for a solo. duo, or trio, dancers must meet the above requirements and also have at least one year of previous competition experience at Gotta Dance. **If requirements are met, group placements and solo/duo/trio invites are based off of audition scores.

Immortal rehearsals begin with an intense Summer Bootcamp where dancers learn their choreography. They continue with Sunday rehearsals in the Fall and compete in two November competitions.

IMMORTAL PLACEMENT POLICY 2026

Scores from Company Auditions on January 10, 2026, at the Bridgewater studio will place you in either jazz or contemporary Immortal groups. Please Note:  In rare cases, a dancer’s score may be high enough for acceptance into Gotta Dance Companies, but may not be high enough in his/her age group to qualify for the particular subject in Immortal Dance Force.
